Adhesives Research, Inc., a leading independent developer and manufacturer of high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesives, tapes, specialty coatings, films and laminates, has promoted Scott Knorr to the position of vice president and general manager of the Adhesives Research division.

In his new role, Mr. Knorr will oversee global sales as well as research and development efforts for the company’s pharmaceutical, medical, electronics, splicing and engineered tapes businesses. Mr. Knorr has been with Adhesives Research for 13 years, beginning his career with the company as a process engineer in the medical/pharmaceutical operations group before joining the sales team in 2002. He was named business manager for the pharmaceutical business unit in 2005 and later promoted to his most recent position of medical business manager, overseeing the company’s global business activities as a component supplier to the medical device, diagnostic and wound care industries.
